Memorials, historic homes, and meeting houses are within walking distance in the North Slope of Beacon Hill area. The National Park Service offers daily guided tours. One of the first historic walking tours in America, the Freedom Trail captures many significant events in Colonial Revolutionary Boston. Follow 3 miles (4.82 kms) of red lines to 16 spots of interest, or take a guided tour from the National Park Service. The tour starts at Boston Common in the heart of Boston, and ends at the USS Constitution in the Charleston Navy Yard.
